Life is full of change -- and God planned it that way.  Just look at God's creation, at God's nature, and you will see abundant change.  Just look in the mirror, and, if you are over thirty, you will likely see change, though with some not as abundantly as with others.  The great constancy in life is jesus Christ, which the Book of Hebrews tells us is the same yesterday, today and forever.  It is Jesus who helps us to adjust and adapt the the many changes that are a part of our lives.

Our Christian church in the United States is dealing with waves of change in the culture in which we live.  Our own PCUSA, like most denominations, is struggling to deal with that change, and to still proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ.  And we have change, as Protestants born in change, within our own denomination.

A look at the national vote totals tell us that the New Form of Government is passing, along with new ordination standards.  This will be more change to deal with, but I believe we can handle it.  Christ will help us , and that makes all the difference.  Whatever our differences on certain issues, we have Jesus Christ in common, and that is the most important thing of all. With Jesus Christ as Lord, our ultimate future is always bright, and, with His help, we can adapt to any changes that come here on Earth as we work together in his mission.

With that thought of unity and working together for God's mission in mind,
